\nUnder - small paved court on - SE tr were pots & pot burials one large pot, empty, was too broken above to type Against - rectangular buttress o- BurSin bldng was a double pot burial under big frs. o large pots arranged as a rough substitute for a larnax. Over-head tr was dirt which preserved a remarkably clear impression o moderately fine cloth. W- bones nothing at all : by - head o- grave a drab clay pot ht 044 rim 014 base 010 [drawing (artifact: pot) labeled: 19 RC174 = IL.114]

In room (7) tr was a second pavement 020\nbelow -pt & in -center o this, bet. -\njambs o- NE side, tr was - lower part o a\npot let into - floor as if for a surface\ndrain\n
Room 9 has its pavement carefully raised\nat - SW end (i.e. at - SW end where broken\noff by TW). W a raised brick edging along\n- edge o- raised part : just beyond this tr\nwas a larger pot sunk in - ground, its top\nbroken edge flush w a lower floor level, as if\nfor a drain or basin\n
Room 7 bet. - 2 floor levels was a baked\ntablet of Gimil Sin & a copper arrowhead\n
To - NE o- house runs a street?. - Reveal\nin - wall at - N corner wd shew t - space\nwithout internal walls to - NW belonged to\n- house & t [therefore symbol] - staircase cd h been taken\nup on this side against - outer face o- wall\nin wood.\n

- Original house was quite well built\n& was paved in nearly every room. - Later\noccupants made minor changes but usually\nbuilt in shoddy style over - old walls.\nUnder - courtyard (1) tr was a roughly\ncircular brick vertical drain or sump\nbelonging to - 1st period only, going right\ndown through - doorway o- BC building.\n

Tr were really 2 periods here but most o-\nwalls were reused in - 2nd period & for - most\npart it was a matter o floor raising &\nminor alterations rather than rebuilding\n- Walls were o poor quality w a liberal use o\nbroken brick .& were thin, though some cd h\nstood on upper story : - founds came right\ndown to - tops o- Dungi walls\n
- Small court (1) was brick paved & was presumably\nopen to sky, - rooms opening out of it - Break\nin - SE wall was patch work, probably - blocking\nof a door to room (7), but in room (7) - floor was\nat a higher level & belonged to - secondary\noccupation - Rooms (5) & (6) were at - same high\nlevel but - walls went deep & all belonged to-\nearly period\n
Room (2) was clearly a chapel w niche & SE\npillar o burnt brick in - corner & under\n- floor a brick grave & a pot burial : -\nwall dividing it from room (5) was shallow\n& o late date but was bonded into -NE\nwall :- NE & NW walls had more solid\n
House 30/B Top level BC\n
footings projecting in - interior & were\nbattered on - outside, implying low ground\noutside : - footings o- party wall bet.\nrooms (2) & (5) ran [?prob?] flush w- footings\no- external walls but were only 1 course\ndeep, resting on- filling wch - external\nwalls contained.\n
Under pavement o- courtyard (1) was a\n(Room 2) tablet of Gimil Sin\n
Room 3 was- staircase. 4 brick steps were\npreserved running into - wall thickness &\nbehind - wall tr was a rubble foundation for\ncontinuation o- flight, but it was difficult\nto see how this continued as- wall seemed to\nbe an outside wall o- house : if it were\na courtyard beyond, - stairs might perhaps\nh been external\n
Room 4 had a good brick pavement & had\nbeen cut through by - TW so t its size\nwas unknown _ Or cd well h been a larger\nroom & served as - liwan.\n

\nRoom 6 had a floor at high level but - main walls went down deep : it had a doorway to (7) & so through (7) by an early door (later bricked up) to (1) the courtyard.
\nRoom 8 had had a brick pavement below wch were graves & drains
\nRoom 9 had rather - appearance o an open court approached by - narrow passage o wch had at - NE (street) and end a gateway & threshhold leading up from street to inside level
\nIn room 8, C & D were small pot burials both containing bones : B was part o a larnax grave by wch was one broken pot

\nAt A was an inhumation burial [drawing (plan: building) labeled: room numbers]
\nWith it [drawing (artifact: labeled) labeled: 662 =IL.50] room 8 ht 043 rim 015 drab clay broken
\na similar pot was found by itself under the floor at point G
