Context Title: Room 2
Context Name (Publication): Room 21
Context Description: Same room (2) which by its pavement of bricks (0.26 m. X 0.18 m.) and its central drain was clearly an open court. Along the south wall there was an unpaved strip 0.50 m. wide defined by a line of bricks rising one course above pavement level; from the east wall there ran a line of bricks for a distance of 0.90 m., stepped up from the floor to a height of 0.45 m. against the wall face, and between this and the south wall there was no brick paving; it suggests either a raised platform of which the front had disappeared (and there was nothing to account for its complete disappearance) or a flight of steps with wooden treads going up to a higher door in the east wall which was however too ruined to show any signs of door-jambs.2
