Description (Modern): | Hand modelled, fired clay female figure; missing from just below hips; arms broken off; flat back except for modelled fan and headband; nude; originally holding something (tambour?) against chest, now missing; pubic triangle indicated by incised lines; incised line for a belt just above; hair elaborately curled and bunched with applied clay; five large curls and fan at the back; pinched nose, applied round pellet eyes but no mouth; two thick applied strips of clay with double rows of incised lines denote necklaces.1 |
