Description (Modern): | Dark orange, fine pottery juglet with a squat shaped body with a wide midriff, a handle and a short, straight neck to which the upper part of the handle has been added; slightly everted rim with round lip; small disk almost pedestalled base; neck and base have been turned on a wheel and have been added onto the body rather than the whole vessel having been made in one stage; some voids on the surface; no surface treatment; base has signs of turning marks from the wheel.1 |
