Description (Modern): Electrotype reproduction of gold helemet of Meskalamdug. Hammered up from a single sheet of 18 carat gold with features in relief and details engraved. Into the interior was fitted a quilted cap, fragments of whose cloth and wool stuffing were found. The cloth was brought up on the outside as a protection, and secured by laces passed through holes around the rim. The ears are pierced to allow hearing.
