Tablet
Clay object designed to bear a cuneiform inscription.
Typically more-or-less cuboid, with flat obverse and convex reverse. Most were a size that would fit in the hand. They contain cuneiform texts from a wide range of genres, although most are administrative from around 2000 BC. Often found in groups.
